Agriconnected Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how AgriConnected ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Agriconnected mobile application ("App").
Information we collect
- Account and organization information: such as your name, email address, account identifier, and the farm or organization associated with your account.
- Precise location: GPS coordinates, movement, speed, direction, and timestamps used for equipment and operator tracking, agricultural operation records, and land-plot activity. When you start tracking, the App may collect location while it is in the background or when the screen is off. The App requests your permission before doing so.
- Photos and camera data: photos you choose to capture for operational records, such as fueling records, and images used for worker identity verification at shift start. The camera is also used to scan QR codes. QR-code images are processed for scanning and are not retained as photographs.
- Device, diagnostics, and usage data: device model, operating-system version, IP address, app events, crash reports, diagnostic logs, battery status, and technical identifiers needed to operate and improve the App.
- Operational data: equipment selection, work shifts, service records, fueling records, and other information entered or generated while using the App.
How we use information
We use this information to:
- provide authentication and operate the App;
- record and display agricultural operations and GPS tracking;
- associate operational activity with equipment, workers, and farms;
- verify worker identity where that feature is enabled;
- provide support, diagnose failures, and improve reliability; and
- protect the Service and comply with legal obligations.
Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information. Information may be made available to the organization that manages your Agriconnected account and to authorized users of that organization. We may also disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect users, AgriConnected, or the public.
We use service providers to host and operate the Service. Google Firebase may process app analytics and crash diagnostics for Google Play builds. Google's handling of this information is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Providers process information only to perform services for us and under applicable confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
Data retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service to you and your organization, meet contractual and legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security. Retention periods may vary according to the information and the organization's operational requirements.
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information and account by emailing [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity and coordinate with the organization that manages your account. We will retain information when legally required or when a legitimate exception applies.
Your choices and permissions
You can manage location, camera, and notification permissions in your Android device settings. Disabling a permission may prevent the related App feature from working. Background location collection occurs only when tracking is enabled and the necessary permission has been granted.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
The App is intended for business and agricultural workforce use and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information through the App.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The revised policy will be published at this URL with a new effective date.
